happy 2nd day after christmas! christmas was a blast minus being snowed in and not having a full house but it was great being with awesome family. the white christmas was granted and all the roads were snowed off and what not we couldn't even get to christmas mass. we had lots of fun playing with the wii the last couple days but cabin fever finally set in and we went to the cathedral caverns and did some cave hiking. i braved the cave!!!! freaking awesome lol but we're packing and spending our last night in the south right now and it'll be nice to play some more wii in a moment. no internet for awhile since i gave up my utilities so we wouldn't have to pay extra while we're away on leave and not using it anyways. i'm excited to go to the bay and be with my family but it also means bye bye to my hubby for 6months

it's christmas eve and so far on leave i made it to memphis, tn alive after 2 days or so of driving. i was more than ready to get out of the car. we adventured and i had my first taste of memphis style bbq at corky's the first night we got there. it was alright, but i prefer the wet ribs more than the dry ones. the next day we went to graceland and toured the place. it was real neat, and we also toured the car museum and it was neat to see a bit of history. the next night we went to the memphis zoo for the zoo lights event and it was pretty neat. then we went to the world famous rendezvous and beale street downtown. after about 4 days of the midsouth we took it waaaaaay south and now we're in alabama! and sarah this poopy is in my face with her face washed in bubble gum :P jk jk... she's super sweet and a bit crazy. but aren't all 7 yr olds?! can't wait to get some sweets in me mmmm! then next wk we'll be packing up the housing and doing the big move. the baby is good, and we'll find out the gender once we get back! we're so excited to find out! i've gotta enjoy this last christmas without babies.

no matter how bad i'm feeling i need to remind myself to be thankful. i've been sick for over 24hrs with sever vomiting and dehydration and just came back from the er feeling better after 2L of IV fluids and a shot of zofran. but the thing is that sometimes i forget to be thankful that i can have a child. so many people try so hard to conceive but it's hard to be thankful when i live in the bathroom with my new roommate the toilet. i'm uncomfortable and sick all the time but everyone tells me that it's a small sacrifice and that i will forget it all once the baby is here safe and sound. but i don't feel that way -yet. i want to be able to enjoy my pregnancy without being sick all time or hating my life because i'm pregnant. i need to go to bed soon but with kris getting up in 45mins there's no point. i'll wait til he leaves before i go to bed or there's no chance in hell i'm falling back asleep when the alarm wakes me up.

kris came home with potstickers, andes thin mints, and gummy life savers. my life is heaven right about now. i also find it very odd that every month i still look for my period haha.. it's weird but when my day comes during the month i still look down like i should be expecting aunt flo. i'm craving for the nacho's from denny's and a big bite of meat. maybe steak or something. kris also talked me into going to la again tmmrw so he can get his egg rolls and i can get some bun rieu :D so so exctited! i'm glad the morning sickness is subsiding and my appetite is back with a vengeance.

i went in for another visit with my ob this morning and it's nice to see the baby growing so well. my blood pressure is still high and i need to be careful with my hot cheetos and funyuns since they're my favorite salty snacks. aside from all that i finally went and bought maternity clothes and got kris a nice red sweater for out holiday photos this weekend :) i got a couple of cute tops, a pair of maternity pants and yoga pants and some cute other things. i'm waiting for kris to come home so maybe we can go for thai tonight cause that'd really be yummy!

today was so much fun! i signed up last minute for a baby shower which was hosted and sponsored by the american league and the ladies were so attentive, fun and generous. it didn't really hit me until i started talking so much about the baby and seeing all the baby stuff. it was so much! had a great lunch of chicken marsala with veggies and tiramisu for dessert :) then we saw all the gifts we were gonna get and it was so much stuff! i got an eddie bauer play yard thing that is a bassinet, changing station and a play yard all in one in a really pretty khaki color with toys and music thingy. then we each got a layette filled with duckie themed items. bibs, blankies, wipes, diapers, a baby wrap carrier thingy, teething rings, bottles, teddy bear, towels and even a leather bag by nordstroms! we got baby soap, shampoo and lotions, cocoa butters, etc. so much baby stuff already with just this first baby shower. idk what i'm gonna do since i have to move everything in a few wks. i may just take it all with me lol.. i just got an invitation to torrey pines golf course out in san diego in january for another shower i'm really excited. i already got a crib all lined up, so just more clothes, a baby tub, bouncer and infant car seat is really all i need to complete my list. next wk is our battalion's christmas dinner so it'll be fun to see all the kids from 3/11

hello december!! i can't believe this year has come and gone and now it's december and the year's almost over! so much has happened this year and with this littlest addition on it's way i'm very excited :) we have an anatomy scan set up for the 30th so let the countdown begin! i'm ready to get this little booger out of me and to have some insanity in the house hehe.. i'm scared to stop on the scale when i see my dr next wk cause i've been eating so much but it's such a wonderful contrast from not eating for days at a time i'm not sure if a couple lbs will bother me too much. no snow in the desert yet, but i'm crossing my fingers for some rain and flakes otherwise i'll just have to settle with what's in the south. planning a little weekend out to downtown la maybe this weekend to have kris' ring resized before the meu, and i'm looking forward to all the yummy foods i'm gonna have while i'm there :D
